I’ve faced many challenges, addiction being the main hurdle that I had to jump over. Enagh Youth Forum was a place where I could go to escape that lifestyle and gave me the opportunity to take part in outdoor activities where I could focus my energy in a more positive way. I’m currently studying at university for a degree in outdoor education and leisure. I wouldn’t be where I am now without the support and opportunities Enagh Youth Forum gave me and I am delighted that they have recently secured funding to keep their services going do that other young people can benefit.

EYF's summer scheme was brilliant! There was always something to do and always somewhere to go. I really liked the canoeing and fishing.

I really enjoyed getting to have my say when we did the youth audit and interviews with other young people about what they wanted to see, we made a video too!

EYF helped me with a reference, job search and interview skills. Ive now found myself a part time job and I hope to go to University next year. EYF helped me believe in myself

I was proud and privileged to represent Enagh Youth Forum at the Housing Executive Rural Community Spirit Award Ceremony and to speak on behalf of the group and my community. I was also delighted to accept the 'Live Here Love Here' Litter Hero Award sponsored bt Derry City and Strabane District Council at an event held in February 2017. The award recognises the good work that EYF does in helping to keep Strathfoyle tidy.

I would encourage any young person living in Strathfoyle or Maydown to get involved with EYF. Its great to learn new skills, try new things and to meet new friends.
